Thus far i have only visited Reno-Fernley Raceway. And while it was a blast, i have a feeling Thunder Hill will be MUCH better. The surface conditions at fernley were less than "desirable" and T-Hill was repaved beginning of this month! P.S. Did RFR on an r6, yet to have the 12 on the track. |

i have two tracks by near my house. Grattan and Gingerman. Both are about 2 mile road courses, and I try to get to both as often as possible. Usually I take the RC51, but once in a while it is entertaining to take the turbo out too. Gingerman is great to wear down the knee sliders, but Grattan flows so nice. With the turbo, I can hit about 185 at the end of the straight before braking into the corner. I get to Gingerman more often, but I have to say Grattan run counter-clockwise is my favorite. Very good flow, continuous speed, and fast lap times. If you know the track, there are a number of places to make good and easy passes. Just mind the hump...it tends to cause you to go airborn. |
